IFAC Workshop on Advances in Control and Automation Theory for Transportation Applications – ACATTA 2013

There is a considerable amount of research on the application of control and automation theory to transportation applications. The main objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers from all over the world on this important area and help knowledge exchange on the state of the art control techniques used in transportation.
The main focus of the workshop will be on railway applications, for which some special sessions and plenary talks are organized. However, papers related with all transportation modes are well come and will be presented in the workshop.
Turkey is a fast developing country where huge investments are being made on transportation. Therefore a considerable amount of interest is expected from the local industry. Technical visits will also be arranged to see some of the ongoing transportation projects in Istanbul.
Therefore we, as the National Organizing Committee, have the pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in the 1st IFAC Workshop on Advances in Control and Automation Theory for Transportation Applications (ACATTA 2013) which is to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, 16-17 September 2013.
Note that this workshop is sponsored by the IFAC Technical Committee TC 7.4 (Transportation Systems) and co-sponsored by IFAC Technical Committees TC 7.1(Automotive Control), TC 7.2 (Marine Systems), TC 7.3 (Aerospace), and TC 7.5 (Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles).
